Our Story

Our founder’s introduction to vaping started all the way back in 2007 — an eternity in vape years — when he left a high-profile marketing role at Red Bull North America to join a scrappy startup vaporizer company called Ploom (who went on to release the massively successful Pax Vaporizer in 2012, and later JUUL in 2014).

Fueled by the belief that vaping could help him and millions of other smokers ditch the dirty habit for good, that spark of passion eventually led him to focus on creating his own line of premium, hand-crafted e-liquid — the flavors we’re proud to share with the world today.

Flavor Development

We set out with a simple goal: develop amazing e-liquid flavors that we love to vape. We have a passion for discovering wonderful flavors from around the world and combining them in unique, surprising ways. We spent over six months in the lab before releasing our first two signature flavors — Lucky 13 and Peach Guzzi — in May 2015.

We continue to work tirelessly on new creations, releasing a flavor only when it meets our exceedingly high standards. We hope you enjoy our efforts as much as we do.

Today, Cafe Racer has established itself as one of the leading global e-liquid brands. Lucky 13 took Best in Show in the tobacco category at Vape Summit IV in Houston, TX, and went on to win Best Tobacco at expos throughout 2016 and 2017.

Cafe Racer products are now sold in over 42 countries and hundreds of vape retailers across the United States — and we consider this only the beginning.

Our hand-crafted e-liquid is made in a GMP- and ISO-certified lab in Southern California, and every batch is date- and batch-coded for strict quality control.

The Cafe Racer Connection

In post-WWII England, café racers were built out of necessity — there simply weren’t production motorcycles with the performance riders wanted. The Rockers, or “Ton-Up Boys,” went to great lengths to defy the manufacturers and build their own sport bikes. Drop a high-powered Triumph engine into a legendary Norton featherbed frame and the Triton café racer was born.

Building a café racer is no longer just about the search for better performance — it’s an expression of style, in the most practical sense.

The vaping world has a lot of parallels to café racer culture. Early electronic cigarettes lacked the performance people wanted, so they started hacking the designs — building their own mods and early open-tank vapes. On the e-liquid side, the first tobacco and menthol flavors were fine, but there was a whole world of flavor waiting to be explored. That same drive to build something better is exactly where Cafe Racer lives.
